Miami government court say the rapper whose genuine name is Dwayne Michael
Carter Jr., had a weapon and ammo on December 23 of a year ago regardless of

Authorities said the 38years
old rapper recognized possessing the gold plated handgun after his baggage was
search after showing up in Miami on a private plane. A court order, first
announced by the Miami Herald, said Carter told agents the weapon was a Father's
Day gift.
Carter's lawyer, Howard
Srebnick said in an email that there are legitimate inquiries concerning
whether simple ownership of a weapon by a felony not decided to be hazardous
fits the meaning of a wrongdoing.
"Carter is accused
of having a gold plated handgun in his baggage on a private plane. There is no
claim that he ever fired it, displayed it, utilized it or took steps to utilize
it," Srebnick said. "There is no charge that he is a risky
individual."

An underlying court
date on the weapons charge is set for December 11 in Miami government court.
