Former Labour Party Presidential Campaign Council spokesman Kenneth Okonkwo has severed his political ties to both the party and Peter Obi, its nominee for president in 2023. The decision was made by lawyer and seasoned Nollywood actor Okonkwo on July 27, 2024, and it was made in response to Obi's inability to address ongoing internal conflicts within the Labour Party. Okonkwo's statement was posted on social media.
