President Bola Tinubu Request Senate To Consider and Confirm Request to Consider and Confirm Dr. Olatunji Bello As Chief Executive Officer andnd Executive Vice Chairman Of The Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission

The Senate was requested by President Bola Tinubu through written request to consider and confirm Dr. Olatunji Bello as  Chief Executive Officer and Executive Vice Chairman of the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (FCCPC).
The President sent the names of three potential nominees to the Senate for consideration and confirmation of their appointments as Chairman, Secretary, and as member of the Police Service Commission (PSC)
The nominees are retired Deputy Inspector-General of Police, Hashim Argungu for Chairman, Chief Onyema Uche for Secretary and retired DIG Taiwo Lakanu as member of PSC 
The President of the Senate, Senator Godswill Akpabio, read out the President’s letter of nomination and referred the appointments to various committees for further legislative work.
Bello’s nomination was referred to the Senate Committee on Trade and Investment while  Argungu, Uche and Lankano’s nominations were referred to the Senate Committee on Police Affairs.
Mr. Akpabio asked  both committees to report back to plenary  next  week.
