Concerning the conflict between the Dangote Group and federal authorities on the Dangote Refinery, Peter Obi and Adewunmi Adesina, President of the African Development Bank (AfDB), voiced their concerns yesterday. Adesina described the situation as shocking and bad for Nigeria globally, while Obi, in a series of tweets on his X handle, urged the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation Limited and other government agencies to tread carefully in handling whatever dispute they had with Dangote because of the far-reaching implications of their actions on the economy. They responded to allegations made by the Dangote Group on the same day that Mele Kyari, the Group Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited, declared he did not possess a blending plant outside of Nigeria.
