The UK Parliament has been occupied by six individuals of Nigerian descent who were elected in recent elections.
Labour emerged victorious in the general election, with Chi Onwurah (Labour MP for Newcastle Central and West) receiving 18,875 votes.
In the general election, Kemi Badenoch (Conservative MP for Saffron Walden) won against Labour with 19,360 votes.

Florence Eshalomi (Vauxhall and Camberwell Green) won in the general election.
Taiwo Owatemi (Coventry North West) emerged as the winner of the general election, having secured 19,696 votes compared to his opponent.
The Labour candidate, Bayo Alaba (Southend East and Rochford), received 15,395 votes, while the Conservative candidate secured 11,368 votes.
